N.E.mation 11/12/2019
Part of my task as a full time instructor in Animagine, N.E.mation is a competition held annually to select the top 10 stories crafted by secondary schools in Singapore. Story workshops are held around September to guide students into crafting their own stories in relation to the theme of the competition.
Through out the three seasons of N.E.mation, I would take on the role as a producer and mentor to student teams that have been assigned to me.
As a producer role, a production schedule was planned for the students based on prep work I have done. Prep work covers from testing of pre-production to post-production. Storyboarding, concept art , testing of animation medium and steps were all planned out by me before actual production date, when students will create the assets and animate their story from scratch. During production, I would make sure students were on schedule and made minor changes or reshuffling of work within the team if needed to finish before the deadline.
Taking the mentor role, I would have to teach students how they would animate, the program they will be using and giving them advice and support should they need help.
